Uruguay Culinary Adventure
with James Beard-recognized Chef, Chris Maher
Culinary & Cultural Immersion

Join us for a week (7 days / 6 nights), for an unforgettable culinary journey through Uruguay, a country where European elegance meets South American warmth. From the vibrant markets of Montevideo to the sun-drenched vineyards of Canelones and the chic coastal town of José Ignacio, this experience is a feast for all the senses.
Savor traditional asado cooked over open fire, taste award-winning wines from family-run bodegas, and learn the secrets of Uruguayan cuisine from local chefs and artisans. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking landscapes—rolling pampas, Atlantic beaches, and historic towns that tell the story of Uruguay’s rich cultural heritage.
This is more than a food trip—it’s a deep dive into Uruguay’s lifestyle of hospitality, tradition, and passion for good living. Come hungry for adventure, and leave with memories (and recipes) to last a lifetime.
We scout our locations and plan our trip in advance, so we see and select locations in person for each culinary trip. They are always wonderful, and Chris and I take great care in curating every aspect of the trip, while also leaving space for improvisation as needed for each group.
Our last evening together, we will enjoy discussing what we have learned, fallen in love with, and what we will take home from our experiences. Let’s enjoy our last taste of Uruguay together with new friends and recipes!

“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life—and travel—leaves marks on you.” – Anthony Bourdain
